Aberlour delivers a number of services supporting children, young people and their families across the Dumfries and Galloway area.
We help parents and children who are struggling to cope. The families we work with may be affected by a range of issues, which could include drug and alcohol use in the family. We work with whole families as well as children on their own and will work with children from birth.
We are looking for an experienced administrator to support the service with general and financial administrative tasks, for 15 hours per week, worked flexibly during office hours.
You will have excellent communication and organisational skills and be comfortable working with Microsoft Office packages.
You will have a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 7 or equivalent experience.

About the Role
We are looking to recruit a Link Practitioner to join our Self Directed Support Brokerage Service. You will provide support to individuals who are in receipt of a Direct Payment award to implement their agree Self Directed Support Plan, this will include assistance with recruitment and managing their relationship with their Personal Assistants and ongoing support to individuals to review their plan and make changes where necessary. You will be an advocate of Self-Directed Support and will raise awareness of Self-Directed Support and of the Brokerage amongst potential recipients, other professionals and the general public. The role will require you to nurture the service to allow for ongoing growth.

We are recruiting for a Cook, working 16 hours over 2 or 3 days per week preparing and delivering our community-based emergency food provision from our FareShare project. Working with the Community Connector and Service Manager, you will help to support the development of our Community Café which will be used as a community resource.
The hourly rate for this post is £9.54. Funding for the project is currently confirmed until June 2022 but may be extended.
An important part of the role is to keep up to date, accurate records regarding food storage and the temperatures of fridges, freezers, and cooked foods in accordance with current environmental health Legislation.
You will be required to hold a Food Hygiene certificate (REHIS intermediate or equivalent) or equivalent knowledge acquired by other means.
You will build relationships with centre users, the Community Connector, wider staff team and partner agencies to support the development of a training café as we offer volunteering opportunities & placements for people to gain skills & confidence. It is important to note the Café will also be used by other partner agencies 3 days per week offering opportunities for their clients.

Aberlour, funded by the Scottish Government - Investing in Communities, is trying to tackle poverty and inequality across disadvantaged North West Dumfries communities. We aim to achieve this through our newly refurbished community premises, which is open to all, and provides a range of services for the local community such as laundry, clothing, fridges and family/meeting rooms. Our aim is to build a service around the needs of the local community.
As a Caretaker you will be responsible for general maintenance, including minor repairs to the Community Hub, ensuring the relevant standards are met. You will act as a first point of contact to the local community who will be using the hub for various activities. You will work in partnership with the Community Connector to ensure that the hub is set up and organised for any community groups that may be using it.
We are looking to recruit a Caretaker who will work 16 hours per week. These hours will be worked flexibly to meet the needs of the service and the local community which may include evenings, weekends and public holidays. This post is offered on a fixed term basis until June 2022.
