The Board is seeking to appoint a new Manager to lead the organisation and to provide strategic direction to its staff, volunteers and supporters. You will have effective and comprehensive leadership, management and communication skills, with experience of leading high performing teams. Our service in Dumfries and Galloway is currently looking to recruit a Recovery Worker to work within its recovery focused community drug and alcohol service in Stranraer.
Ideally the successful candidate will have sound knowledge and understanding of group work, assessment, recovery planning, key working and the issues around substance misuse. In addition, he/she will have good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as a team player in a collaborative and supportive manner. You will be someone who thrives under pressure, has good time management and prioritisation skills and can work well with others.
You will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, and may be required to carry out occasional evening and/or weekend work. Experience of working with substance misuse service users in a health, social care or criminal justice setting and be qualified to a minimum of SVQ Level 3 in Adult Social Care is a requirement for this post.
The successful candidate will be required to deliver services within the community so a driving license is essential.
