About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled and empathic individual to join our Sutherland team in Golspie as a Resource Centre Project Worker.

Our Resource Centre in Golspie offers a safe and welcoming environment for people affected by mental illness to meet, socialise and take part in supported activities and outings. This helps to encourage people to feel more involved, included and empowered in their lives. Effective support also promote increased self-confidence and independence in people who use the service.

With experience of support work, organising group activities, completing reports and a sound understanding of Mental Illness; the project worker will also be actively involved in promoting and developing the service in

Who are we looking for?

You will be responsible for compiling and reviewing development plans for people using the service, and ensure that the agreed outcomes are being achieved.

You are someone comfortable working in a team as well as autonomously, and are proactive in your own personal development and learning. The successful candidate will be required to be a member of, or willing to join the PVG scheme membership.

We are looking for a unique person to join our team at our dementia specific day service in Paisley. Our day services are personalised to the preferences and needs of individuals, providing therapeutic dementia specific support with a focus on maintaining skills and independence.

The post is a flexible contract covering Paisley. The day services in Paisley are open Monday – Saturday 9am-4pm to meet the needs of the service.

Our Support Workers are our most important people as they provide front line support. Successful applicants will have a positive approach to dementia.

You will also have good communication skills and a caring attitude. A willingness to learn and attend training is essential. Relevant qualifications and/or experience of working with people with dementia would be an advantage.

We are looking for a Community Activities Organiser to provide maternity leave cover for the Brain Health and Dementia Resource Centre in Helensburgh. You will facilitate a range of community activities and opportunities that fill identified gaps and meet the needs of people living with dementia and their families.

The successful applicant will have a positive approach to dementia. You will be flexible, inclusive, creative, and organised in your approach. You will be sensitive and compassionate with the ability to support people in times of difficulty or distress. You will be an excellent communicator who can work effectively both with individuals and with groups. You will have a positive approach to your own continued professional development and a willingness to participate in relevant training. A relevant qualification and previous experience of working with people with dementia would be an advantage.

Would you like to make a difference to the lives of People Living with Dementia in Midlothian?

We are looking for a unique individual who can provide person- centred support for those individuals living with dementia who attend our Day Care centre in Midlothian and Community Activity Groups.

Supporting individuals to keep connected to their communities, engage in their interests and hobbies and access peer support. Working during weekdays, the use of a car is essential (mileage and expenses are paid).

A flexible approach is essential, so you will have the ability and willingness to cover sessions in a planned way due to annual leave, training, or last minute cover.

Successful applicants will have a positive approach to dementia. You will also have good communication skills and a caring attitude. A willingness to learn and participate in training (including SVQ’s) and registration with the SSSC is essential. Relevant qualifications and/or experience of working with people with dementia would be an advantage.
