Job Specific Description

This is an exciting leadership opportunity to bring together two pioneering and transformative services working with women experiencing homelessness in Glasgow: the newly developed Soft Edges and the established Connect Hub.

Soft Edges is a multi-agency government funded project, with Simon Community Scotland leading on the operational delivery, the aim of the service is to connect with women who have experienced barriers to accessing support for a number of reasons.

Soft Edges will be a co-produced and trauma-informed service built in partnership with women, supporting women that services struggle to reach. The Connect Hub offers a community based, drop-in model that prioritises flexibility, safety, and meaningful engagement and support alongside women experiencing homelessness in Glasgow City Centre.

A key focus of this role in the first six months will be to lead the co-design of the Soft Edges service alongside women with lived and living experience. This includes collaboratively shaping the full service offer - from outreach and housing pathways to staffing structures, job roles, and operational design. The successful candidate will guide an inclusive, creative and empowering design process that ensures the resulting service is grounded in the real needs, strengths, and aspirations of women that traditional systems and structures have historically struggled to serve.

Alongside this, you will provide strategic leadership for the Connect Hub, an established four-day-a-week community service for women, and manage a skilled multidisciplinary team across both services. You'll work in partnership with clinical psychology and partner agencies to deliver responsive, trauma-informed and relational support that creates meaningful change in women's lives and challenges systemic barriers.

This role requires a compassionate and strategic leader who can build trusting relationships, lead with compassion, support staff wellbeing, and champion co-production, all while ensuring services are sustainable, integrated, and impactful

Family Addiction Support Service (FASS) is a registered Scottish charity providing confidential support to families and carers affected by a loved one’s alcohol or drug misuse. Established in 1986, we deliver a range of services including one-to-one family support, peer groups, kinship support, bereavement services, and community events across Glasgow.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Service Manager to lead our dedicated team of staff and volunteers. You will manage all aspects of service delivery, financial planning, governance, and partnership working to ensure FASS continues to provide high-quality, compassionate support to families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, motivate, and support a team of staff and volunteers.
• Manage a budget of around £300k, ensuring robust financial controls.
• Report regularly to the Board of Trustees and funders.
• Develop services that meet the needs of families and contribute to FASS’s strategic direction.
• Strengthen partnerships with statutory, voluntary, and community organisations.
• Ensure compliance with HR, safeguarding, health & safety, and charity regulations.

About You:

We are looking for a compassionate leader with:

• A qualification in social care SVQ Level 4 (or equivalent).
• Significant experience in service management within social care, health, or the voluntary sector.
• A proven track record in financial management and staff leadership.
• A strong understanding of the impact of alcohol and drugs on families.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

About Sustain Clackmannanshire

This is a family outreach service, working alongside families, communities, and partners, offering caring and responsive support to young people and families. Aberlour Sustain Clackmannanshire delivers the support families need, when they need it, every day of the year. The aim of the service is to ensure that children and young people can continue to flourish at home, at school and in their local community.

Working with Social Work Services, this innovative and creative service focuses on supporting young people aged 0 – 18 years, who may be on the ‘edge of care’ so that they remain living with their family in their local communities.

Our Service works with young people and their families to enhance relationships, build on existing strengths and interests, help build confidence and encourage new community connections. Our aim is to help all families feel safe, confident, capable, and included. Our approach has been developed through consultation with families and partners.

What we are looking for....

As Service Manager your role is to lead, manage and develop our Sustain Clackmannanshire Service to support children and families in line with planned objectives. We are looking for someone who can provide direction and support for the staff team enabling them to achieve excellent results and manage change in an ever-changing work environment. You will be key in providing the external face of the services to a range of external partners with the aim of influencing service provision to meet the needs of parents, families, children and young people. This will include sourcing funding opportunities.

You will also be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the service budgets.

You will be passionate about supporting young people, families, and communities, flexible in your approach and share our vision that collaborative working and relationship based early intervention is the best option for young people and families who are feeling overwhelmed or excluded. This post is being offered on a guaranteed Fixed Term basis for 12 months. Sustain Clackmannanshire funding currently runs until 31st March 2026, with hope of funding beyond this date. Not afraid to test new ways of working, you will bring a fresh, caring, compassionate and collaborative approach which responds empathically to the needs of young people and their families. The work will include early mornings, evenings and weekends. You will have experience of direct practice within this field of work, including child/adult protection issues as well as having experience of working with children and young people.

You will work within a variety of locations in the Clackmannanshire area, including the office base in Alloa, family homes, schools and community settings.

To support the delivery of our ambitious NLHL strategy, CHSS is seeking to appoint a Quality Assurance Manager. In this role, the post holder will play a pivotal role in driving a culture of excellence across CHSS Community Healthcare Support services.

This leadership position will be accountable for the strategic oversight and continuous enhancement of quality assurance (QA) frameworks, ensuring robust governance is embedded throughout the Service Delivery department.

The role will champion the alignment of service standards with best practices, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations, while proactively identifying opportunities for quality improvement. This role will serve as a subject matter expert in clinical governance, quality assurance and quality improvement and in collaboration with the senior management team, will support the systematic monitoring and evaluation of service performance to ensure optimal outcomes for service users and stakeholders.

CHSS is seeking an experienced leader with proven experience in quality assurance across health & social care and third sector environments. Applicants will have a recognised professional qualification/registration within health and/or social care and have excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills.

Confidence in IT skills and experience working to a high professional standard using own initiative is essential.
