Since 2003, Lanarkshire Deaf has been committed to creating an inclusive, supportive environment and thriving space where the deaf community across Lanarkshire can connect, communicate and collaborate. After 20 years, with a new vision planned to rebrand and transform our organisation into a dynamic hub of activity, we are dedicated to providing innovative programmes, projects and services that cater to the diverse needs of our community across Lanarkshire. We are looking to welcome a skilled part-time Administrative Officer for 25 hours per week to join our team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of our organisation’s operation and positively impact the deaf community across Lanarkshire and Scotland. The successful candidate should be enthusiastic, motivated, and have strong administration, finance, ICT, and communication skills. The post requires someone who will always be polite to members, colleagues and staff. The role will include general administration support and reception duties, including managing office operations, reporting on events, handling calls, replying to emails, greeting visitors and assisting with financial reporting and payroll. The post-holder will work with the Manager, the Board of Trustees and other team members to ensure that our services are well-run and of high quality, meet the needs of the deaf community and achieve its goals.

Tasks will include responsibility for general correspondence, office duties such as stationery orders, supporting tasks such as recruitment and other general administration and working with all other team members to ensure good safeguarding practice in all aspects of the scheme’s work. This role requires a flexible approach to working evenings and weekends. We are open to flexible working patterns.
