Role

Glasgow-based Scottish International Development charity seeks events management and logistical support in the run-up to COP26. Approximately 50 days/400 hours between August and November 2021 @£25/hour.

Do you have an events management background?

This role will support the Advocacy & Campaigns team at SCIAF and its partners as they bring the Voice of the Global South to Glasgow for COP26 this November. Currently planning for a hybrid real world and online event, the role will:

  • Provide administrative and logistical support in planning (which is well advanced) together with liaison with other agencies
  • Assist our visitors to Glasgow with travel to (including visas) and around Scotland, accommodation, welcome and orientation in Glasgow
  • Assist with a number of pilgrims arriving in Glasgow needing accommodation and other support
  • Plan the delivery of alternative online tech if official partners are unable to attend
  • Provide logistical support for our events programme
