What the role is

Our Project Officer (Youth Climate Programme) will lead and support the implementation and delivery of the climate emergency training strand of a Youth Climate initiative – a partnership between ourselves and YoungScot and YouthLink Scotland. This interesting role will see you working on the implementation of project interventions (in particular climate emergency training), partnership development, undertaking monitoring and evaluation along with communications and promotion.

What you’ll need to have

We are looking for individuals who have a flair for training (in particular climate change), implementing initiatives, project management and working with young people. You will have a proven track record of managing complex projects with budget and financial management and have the ability to develop positive working relationships and influence people.

An understanding of climate change policy and science within Scotland, UK and internationally is an essential element of this role as is experience of maintaining and developing website content. You will also have experience of Press/media/PR activity and an understanding and/or experience of a range of communication activities including social media techniques and applications.
