Through the programme communities across Scotland will be supported by artists, artistic partnerships, creative practitioners and cultural organisations to develop projects that help them reflect on the impact of the pandemic – supporting remembrance and reflection, hope and healing.

greenspace scotland and local partners will commission artists to engage with community groups, faith groups and those hardest hit by the pandemic to shape ideas that benefit communities, reflect people’s experiences of the pandemic and commemorate those who have lost their lives to coronavirus.

The Covid Community Memorial projects, which could include commemorative gardens, memorials and artworks, are supported with £4.1 million provided by the Scottish Government and administered by greenspace scotland.

geenspace scotland wish to appoint a freelance associate to develop and deliver networking and engagement opportunities as part of the NHS Lothian greenspace and health programme.

The connection between nature and health has never been more pertinent and this contract will play a pivotal role in unlocking this connection for health professionals, associated services and partners within NHS Lothian. As part of the Greenspace and Health Strategic Framework, funded by the Edinburgh and Lothian Health Foundation (ELHF), this role will support the development of peer-to-peer networking of NHS staff and partners who are passionate about green health on the NHS estate.

By supporting the development of the emerging Grounds for Health network you will connect NHS staff and partner organisations to make the most of the NHS estate as a health and wellbeing asset. Building on the existing contacts, the associate will facilitate the development of

a peer-to-peer support network for those involved or interested in green health projects and

greenspace enhancements.

This role will support the Green Health programme manager with targeted communication about greenspace and health programme activity in the Lothian region. This will involve working with delivery partners and sourcing new and relevant information to be shared through the networks.

Following on from the successful publication of Lothian’s Green Health prescribing report the freelance associate will bring together key partners at a networking event so that potential providers and prescribers can share experiences and best practice.

This work forms part of the ongoing Lothian Green Health Strategic Framework and support will be provided by Green Health Programme Manager. Further strategic support and advice will be provided by the wider ELHF funding programme team and greenspace scotland team. Support from the greenspace scotland team will be provided for event organisation and logistics.

The ideal candidate will have a track record of developing networks and delivering events. They will be an experienced project manager who understands how to engage with a range of partners and balance various needs. They will have a good understanding of healthcare settings and how to communicate and engage with different audiences. Finally they will be able to work independently whilst maintaining good communication with a wider team.

greenspace scotland is looking for an experienced professional to lead the next stage of development of Scotland’s Park Managers Forum.

The award-winning Park Managers Forum was established by greenspace scotland in 2015 to connect local authority park managers and officers, sharing practice and learning. It connects over 200 colleagues from all 32 Scottish Councils. The Forum originally met quarterly with meetings, workshops and study tours. During the pandemic, the Forum moved online with monthly meetings – this has enabled us to extend our reach and engagement. Recent topics have included: (re)wilding parks, nature networks, parks safety and lighting, open space strategies, green health, using data, ash dieback, income generation, climate resilience.

Funding from the Future Parks Accelerator programme futureparks.org.uk will enable us to step-up the pace, scale and ambition of the Forum to develop a sharing practice, innovation and accelerator hub for parks and greenspaces in Scotland – influencing and informing local and national policy and practice.

The Programme Manager will lead on all aspects of developing, managing and coordinating the Park Managers Forum. This includes working with colleagues from Scottish local authorities and the Future Parks programme to develop the Forum as a ‘fast follower’ network and ‘accelerator hub’. The postholder will also lead and support work on other sharing practice programmes, learning networks and pioneer projects.

greenspace scotland is looking for an experienced fundraising, communications or marketing professional to lead the public facing phase of our exciting programme to develop Parks4Life - an Endowment Fund for Scotland’s parks.

We’ve secured a match-funding grant from National Lottery Heritage Fund towards the first £1million – this will match £ for £ funds raised through the campaign. Our longer-term ambition is for a multi-million endowment fund to help keep Scotland’s parks in good heart for future generations to enjoy. We are now looking to engage in creative and meaningful ways with parks and greenspace lovers across Scotland and beyond.

You will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of an integrated fundraising, marketing and communications strategy and events plan to support the public-facing phase of Scotland’s Parks Endowment Fund campaign. With a strong track record in fundraising, communication and/or marketing, the ideal candidate will be an exceptional communicator, experienced in delivering creative, successful and cost-effective marketing and fundraising campaigns. You will bring creativity, innovation, enthusiasm and passion to work with our team and partners.

Remembering Together is a national programme of remembrance managed by greenspace scotland and funded by Scottish Government, bringing together communities and artists/creative practitioners in collective acts of reflection, remembrance, hope and healing.

Through commissions in all 32 local authority areas in Scotland artists have been co-creating with communities, exploring who, what and how they want to remember and honour all those affected by Covid. Offering a place to connect, to reflect and to create, Remembering Together is about creating together, being part of a process to commemorate those who have lost their lives, those who have experienced loss and change as well as celebrating the ways in which Scottish communities have come together during a difficult time.

Co-creation lies at the heart of it. In phase 1, artists were commissioned to work within a community to explore, through co-creation, what their local memorial will be, which could include commemorative gardens, events, physical or digital artworks, etc. The projects will be delivered in phase 2.

The project is reaching the end of the first phase and we’re looking for a project officer to support the transition to and delivery of Phase 2.
