Your role, as an Employment Coordinator is to provide support to people who have barriers to work to make progress towards and achieve well paid, sustainable employment. Working as part of our All in Dundee programme, you will work across the communities in Dundee providing high quality support.

The Head of Social Enterprise will manage the Fortune Works service. Fortune Works has existed in various forms since 1960, and today is one of Scotland’s largest social enterprises for adults with learning disabilities. The service promotes choice, autonomy, and meaningful involvement in real economic activity and engagement in the local community.

The service provides tailored, outcome-focused support to up to 120 people. It focuses on community connection, creative expression, and personal development. Central to this approach is our commitment to work-based activity. Through collaborations with external commercial partners, we provide opportunities for service users to learn new skills and complete meaningful tasks. We also have long-standing links with local community groups, statutory agencies, and city-wide institutions such as FE Colleges and universities.

Fortune Works is part of Enable Glasgow. Enable Glasgow is a membership organisation that also runs services for people with learning disabilities in the city. Services include a range of supported living services, social opportunities, social enterprise activity, advocacy, and campaigning. The organisation was founded in 1957, and we currently have around 200 direct service users, and almost 400 members.

The successful applicant will be an experienced manager or supervisor with a background in social care, community development, or social enterprise. They will have a demonstrable ability to manage a busy service, take advantage of opportunities for service development, and build good relationship with external partners. They will have a demonstrable commitment to the human rights and aspirations of people with learning disabilities.

Working as a member of the Development and Engagement Team, the post holder will provide administrative support for the team and to the wider organisation, contributing to achieving the vision of disabled people being fully included throughout all Scottish society as equal citizens.

The role will involve collaborating with colleagues to identify and deliver administrative tasks which support the delivery of Inclusion Scotland’s development and engagement work and programmes.

Main Purpose of Post:

The post holder will be an integral part of the Charity, responsible for the day-to-day functionality of all general administration support duties for all our front-line service teams to ensure a high-quality service is provided to all those who contact us. You will be the primary liaison between members and service teams to ensure a timely response to enquiries and requests for support, efficient coordination of service activities and providing a high level of customer satisfaction. The role will also involve coordinating the administration support for our Family Support Service Team, ABC Team, Adult Services Team and website as well as responding to incoming enquiries via our digital phone system and email. You will deliver high levels of customer satisfaction both internally and externally and ensure the smooth running of the charity’s frontline service teams. The role further involves the supervision of and delegation of work to a part time administration support assistant.
