Who are we looking for and why work at Children’s Hearings Scotland (CHS)?

At Children’s Hearings Scotland we are looking for creative, motivated and proactive digital professionals to join our Team in two exciting new roles: Digital Manager and Digital Planning and Engagement Analyst.

Our organisation recruits, trains and supports empathetic and committed volunteers. Our 2,500 volunteer Panel Members take part in children’s hearings, making decisions with and for infants, children and young people, and our network of 22 Area Support Teams provide support to Panel Members locally. Our Digital team

This is an exciting opportunity to Lead and be part of a new digital team. The Digital team is critical to the success of CHS, responsible for both maintaining our current systems; ensuring we operate them as effectively and efficiently as possible alongside defining and delivering future digital strategy and improvement. Delivering an excellent customer service focused frontline and technical support service to our volunteer community is critical and management of our digital assets, including Chromebooks provided to volunteers to support their role.

Following significant Scottish Government investment, over the past 3 years we have developed and launched an exciting new digital platform that supports delivery of our core business and are now looking for a team to take our systems to the next level.

The Digital Manager will be responsible for visioning and implementing a digital strategy and offer that enables CHS to deliver within a re-designed hearings system. We are looking for a Digital Manager who can ensure we are achieving best value from our current systems while shaping and implementing strategies to maximise our future digital potential. We need a strong leader to line manage and coach our digital team to deliver our strategic digital aims.

We are looking for candidates with previous experience of working within a customer facing improvement focussed digital environment, ideally within a public sector context. We want a Digital Manager with experience of delivery in a Digital First context and a blended Agile/Prince 2 project environment. We need someone who is enthusiastic, motivated, people centred, and has the creativity and vision to shape and deliver our digital future.

Whilst this role is CHS based and you will be working across all areas of the National Team and Volunteer community, you will also be working closely with our partner organisation The Scottish Children’s Reporters Administration (SCRA) and our contracted technology partners.
