Changeworks is looking for a new consultant with a focus on residential building services engineering to join our growing and highly regarded Consultancy Team. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable track record of managing projects with a high level of knowledge of low or zero carbon technologies and their implementation on the built environment.

Based within our Consultancy Team, the role requires effective working with a range of stakeholders across a diversity of Changeworks projects differing in scale and complexity. The ability to deal with multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a supportive team environment is essential. You will have a commitment and passion for this field, relevant sectoral knowledge and be organised and proactive. Your creative streak will allow you to identify innovative solutions, work around problems, identify new areas of work, and promote and disseminate our work.

Sustainable Kirriemuir is recruiting for an experienced and highly organised Manager to lead our staff team to deliver our strategy, and support the board of trustees to maintain best practice and develop our long-term plans. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to play a key role in developing our charity as we grow in size and increase our impact.

You will be responsible for leading a diverse team of staff and volunteers, and developing partnerships with key stakeholders. Responsibilities will be varied, including all aspects of managing staff, overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the charity as well as ensuring delivery of strategic aims in keeping with our charitable purposes. The role will include opportunities to be hands-on with climate action, leading on our key annual events, e.g. Kirriemuir Tattie Day.

Excellent leadership and communication skills are essential for this role. Candidates should have a solid understanding of financial management and be comfortable with using project management tools. The ability to think strategically, problem-solve, and adapt to changing circumstances is crucial. The successful candidate will be passionate about the power of community to mitigate, adapt and build resilience to the climate and biodiversity crises. They will have a track record in delivering grant-funded community projects in the third sector.

Formed in 2019, Sustainable Kirriemuir is a Scottish community-led environmental charity which seeks to increase our community’s awareness of the impacts of climate change and the benefits of sustainable practices. We achieved charitable status in August 2023.

The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh is one of the world’s leading botanic gardens and a global centre for biodiversity science, horticulture and education. We are in the midst of our hugely exciting Edinburgh Biomes project, a seven-year initiative to restore our heritage Palm Houses, build new research facilities, and protect the Garden’s unique and globally important plant collection for the future.

As part of this we are looking to expand our dynamic Individual Giving team. You will work closely with the Head of Individual Giving to develop multi-channel public appeals, utilising print, digital and on-site opportunities. You’ll play a key role in writing our stewardship communications, growing a pipeline to further engage donors and members, leading to increased income.

Applicants will ideally have previous experience in managing digital campaigns, and the ability to write creative and compelling cases for support. You will need to have excellent relationship building skills, as the role requires collaboration with other teams across the Garden.
