Role

Clackmannan Town Hall Trust are currently recruiting for new members to welcome to their Board of Trustees.

The Clackmannan Town Hall Trust is a voluntary community organisation who are committed to a long-term project to manage Clackmannan Town Hall and provide educational, social welfare and recreational facilities for our local community.

Established in 2004, the Trust has overseen the management of the Town Hall, in that time organising community events and operating as a social centre for the people of Clackmannan. The Town Hall has been well-maintained inside and out with many original features retained.

Board Roles

The Trust is now seeking to welcome new members to its Board of Trustees, with the view to help the Trust increase its capacity, enabling it to offer more services and continue to be a much-loved community asset.

The Trust is keen to hear from anyone who thinks they can offer their time, professional knowledge and skills to support their activities. The Trust is actively seeking new members for the roles of Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer also.

Board members work collaboratively to guide the Trust and carry out many different functions:

  • Shape priorities and vision for the Trust
  • Engaging with strategic planning, management, and maintenance of the Town Hall
  • Engaging and planning events for the community
  • Ensuring that policies and procedure are in place and robust
  • Managing bookings and events taking place at the Hall
  • Making sure accounts are correct and monies spent well
  • Act as ambassadors for the Trust and Town Hall
  • Liaising with external stakeholders and statutory organisations (i.e. local authority)
  • Attend regular Board meetings, usually held on the last Tuesday of every month, with occasional ad hoc meetings as required.

The Trust is interested to hear from people from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, with a range of professional skills, and in particular those with experience in running community venues and asset and project management skills. The Trust is also keen to hear from young people too.

Time & Commitment

The Trust would value any time that a Trustee could give, with no minimum commitment required.
