Role

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the Board of the Moira Anderson Foundation (MAF), a values-based organisation. Established in 2000, the MAF is a charity dedicated to supporting people affected by childhood sexual abuse. We help children and adults of all genders. MAF has three main aims – to help people heal, to prevent further abuse and to raise awareness of this issue.

Our client services include on-going support, counselling, therapy and group work, as well as a self-management course. You can visit our website at moiraanderson.org for more information on what we offer.

MAF currently has nine Trustees serving on its Board, with a wide range of experiences. We wish to recruit an additional Trustee with sound financial and accountancy skills, who is interested in contributing to the valuable work of this dynamic and fast-growing charity. Ideally you will have good knowledge/experience of charity accounts and be able to assist our Treasurer with monitoring/tracking grants.

The Board meet approximately every six weeks (evening) currently by Zoom, but usually at our premises in Airdrie. We hold an annual Development Day and occasionally have sub groups working on specific matters.
