About us

As the UK’s largest voluntary sector provider of services to disabled people, we believe disabled people should have the freedom to live their lives the way they choose – with the opportunity and support to live independently, to contribute economically and to participate fully in society.

Last year we involved 5,000 staff and 9,000 volunteers supporting nearly 70,000 people in the UK and around the world, Leonard Cheshire provides support to 3,200 people in a variety of UK living services including supported living, nursing and day centre facilities. We also support 12,000 young people in the UK with skills, confidence and employment programmes. Internationally, we are a specialist development non-governmental organisation, delivering inclusive education, youth leadership and access to livelihoods programmes to more than 50,000 people in 15 countries across Asia and Africa.

• To design and develop bespoke volunteering sessions, community activities, and skill development workshops to meet the programme’s outcomes framework

• To support volunteers to complete relevant paperwork, including photographic and written evidence of achievements

• To organise and present at external meetings, including promotional and networking events
