About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team in Scotland. Working with the Senior Community Coordinator (Scotland), this role will be responsible for the effective local delivery of the Can Do programme in designated areas, by enabling disabled young people across the programme to develop life skills and to increase their level of independence through engaging in community volunteering opportunities, and by working towards gaining qualifications and by gaining employability skills.
Key Responsibilities to include:-
• Support the programme to achieve positive outcomes for disabled young people in line with project plans, Theories of Change, Quality Management and Evaluation Frameworks
• To recruit, train and manage disabled young volunteers and support volunteers in line with programme targets
• To build relationships with local schools, colleges, disability groups and services, to promote the project and recruit groups of volunteers and individual volunteers
• To design and develop bespoke volunteering sessions, community activities, and skill development workshops to meet the programme’s outcomes framework
• To support volunteers to complete relevant paperwork, including photographic and written evidence of achievements
• To organise and present at external meetings, including promotional and networking events
About you
You will have:
• a genuine commitment to the values and ethos of Leonard Cheshire
• experience of working with young disabled people
• experience of managing volunteers
• experience of developing and facilitating volunteering group sessions
• demonstrable experience of working within a safeguarding framework and with an understanding of equal rights and equal opportunities
• demonstrable experience of effective delivery within a programme framework
• prior experience of building relationships with third party agencies and organisations
• prior experience of monitoring KPIs and tracking work-flow
• The ability to travel within a designated area
We are looking for candidates who have a good knowledge of the local community, are passionate about supporting young disabled people and have the motivation to make a difference. You will have experience of delivering/organising projects and events. Knowledge of teaching life skills or youth work is highly compatible with this role. You will be a confident pro-active communicator, who can work well in partnership with colleagues across the organisation, promoting the work of the programme, and creating opportunities for our volunteers within the charity and with external partners.

We are seeking to recruit an energetic and efficient individual who will work within a team co-ordinating a Scotland-wide service for deafblind people. The Service Co-ordinator is responsible for maintaining quality standards which meets the needs of deafblind people, funders and stakeholders.
This is a key role within Deafblind Scotland’s Guide/communicator Service, meeting the needs of deafblind people and in line with requirements of funders and registered bodies.
As Service Co-ordinator you will work with service users, external partners and linked providers to provide efficient co-ordination of services procured and administering support services for deafblind people which ensures positive outcomes for service users. The Service Co-ordinator will work with the service and guide/communicator team to ensure a high-quality Guide/communicator service is delivered. The post offers opportunities for innovation working closely with the Services Manager and Head of Operations.

Options Fife Respite and Outreach provides a range of flexible support through outreach and overnight short breaks at weekends, evenings and school holidays to children and young people with complex learning disabilities and autism. We offer a high-quality child centred service providing positive and enabling experiences for the young people, supporting them through the challenges and complexities that enable them to work towards their individual outcomes and personal goals. We work closely with families and other professionals in providing support tailored around the child’s plan.
What we are looking for....
We are looking to recruit a Young People’s Worker Nights, working four nights on (10 hours per night) every second week. You will play a fundamental role in ensuring that the young people you work with have the best possible experience in working towards their objectives in line with their care plan, supporting children to progress within their individual outcomes. Whilst not without its challenges and demands, this is a highly rewarding role, where the work we do has a demonstrable impact on each young person's progress. Using a person-centred approach, you will provide enabling support ensuring the highest level of physical, personal, and emotional care. We support young people who have epilepsy, need personal care and need gastrostomy feeding. Aberlour, in conjunction with NHS, provides all staff with training.
We are looking for candidates who have a passion for working with young people with disabilities. It is desired but not essential that candidates hold a relevant qualification at an SCQF level 7 or above. Due to SSSC requirements you may be required to gain qualifications after starting with Aberlour.

We are currently looking to recruit support workers to join our small team within Inclusion Alliance. The role involves supporting people with learning disabilities to be included in the community and lead an ordinary life. Your work would involve helping people to access educational, social, leisure and work or volunteering opportunities in the community.
No experience or formal qualifications are necessary for the role although a caring nature, positive attitude and a sense of fun are important characteristics to have. New staff will receive paid training and undertake shadow shifts with experienced staff members during induction. We want new staff to feel ready and able to work prior to working on their own for the first time.

The vacancy
Sight Scotland Veterans provides support to all veterans in Scotland who are experiencing changes to their sight, regardless of the cause, or what point you are at. We aim to ensure that veterans and their families and carers have access to the support that they need, when they need it.
Our Activity Hubs provide innovative and person-centred services and support to veterans struggling with sight loss. The services aim to reduce isolation while improving independence and confidence to live well with a visual impairment now and in the future through the provision of a large variety of activities including woodwork, kitchen skills, IT skills, archery. Whilst participating in these activities, veterans have many opportunities to meet with other veterans with sight loss.
The services also offer veterans access to information and support in a welcoming environment through drop in and information sessions with the wider Sight Scotland Veterans teams and other external organisations.
