Are you motivated to make a positive change to families who are impacted by the devastating, neurological condition, Huntington’s disease? Do you have the skills and determination to meet and exceed fundraising goals alongside your colleagues?

If so, an opportunity has arisen to join Scottish Huntington’s Association (SHA) as a Fundraising Officer, responsible for building relationships with existing and potential new supporters in the North East of Scotland.

You will support our small and dedicated team in managing a portfolio of community, corporate and individual relationships whilst identifying prospective new contacts.

This post is being offered full time or part time, you will benefit from flexible working, a generous leave allowance of 37 days (25 days annual leave and 12 days public holidays) and a competitive pension.

You will have a proven ability to build trusting relationships and inspire further support towards the charity, as well as good research skills and record keeping.

You will be home-based with travel expected throughout your territory and occasionally to National Office in Paisley.

Huntington’s disease (HD) is caused by a hereditary gene fault that leads to severe physical and psychological symptoms. There is no cure and its devastating impact is compounded further by the reality that each child of a parent with Huntington’s is at 50% risk of inheriting the disease.

SHA is the only charity in Scotland dedicated exclusively to supporting people whose lives are impacted by this devastating disease. It was founded by families for families, and you will find a values-led organisation, work alongside colleagues with unique insights and expertise, and discover how SHA continues to be inspired and driven by the families we serve.
