Western Isles Rape Crisis Centre is looking to recruit an experienced support worker to join our team. The overall aim of the post is to provide one-to-one support to survivors of sexual violence.

For this role we are open to discussing the possibility of reduced hours, flexible start and finish times, or compressed hours.

A clean driving licence and use of own car is essential to this post.

This post is fully funded by the Scottish Government until 31st March 2026.

The Dundee Changemakers Hub, anchored by four community organisations and hosted by Transition Dundee, is a collective committed to fostering positive change and climate action in Dundee. Our partners - Transition Dundee, ScrapAntics, Uppertunity, The Maxwell - bring extensive experience in successful climate initiatives with a focus on engagement, diversity, and creativity. Together we envision a sustainable and inclusive future for Dundee, connecting communities, sharing knowledge, and amplifying local voices.

This position is key to nurturing relationships and building collaboration with local changemakers at the organisational/group level, fostering engagement and instilling the Dundee Changemakers ethos and concepts. This is a ‘front facing’ role and would suit someone that knows Dundee and enjoys interacting with a wide variety of people from different walks of life, who is also well organised and team-orientated.

The Hub is part of a national network funded by the Scottish Government’s Climate Action Fund. Climate Action Hubsaim to build local awareness of the climate emergency, develop local plans, help groups take up funding opportunities, and contribute to a Just Transition which is fair and leaves no one behind. The St Matthews Centre is recruiting an additional caretaker to assist with looking after the building, grounds as well as being of practical assistance to community groups who use the building. The post is a 30 hrs per week one but some flexibility can be afforded. Duties will include

cleaning the grounds and inside buildings, accepting deliveries and mail, changing lightbulbs and repairing equipment, placing orders for cleaning supplies, overseeing surveillance, preparing rooms for meetings and events, monitoring heating levels in the building, everyday cleaning tasks such as toilet cleaning, floor sweeping and ensuring lets clean up after their groups, kitchen use supervision.

This role would suit a retired police officer, postman, or anyone who has been involved in voluntary or public service.
