We are undertaking a recruitment exercise seeking additional voluntary members to join The Aged Christian Friend Society of Scotland.

ACFSOS is a Charitable Trust with a small Private Rented Retirement Housing Development in Colinton Village in Edinburgh. We pride ourselves in offering good quality affordable retirement housing within beautiful landscaped grounds in the heart of Colinton Village in Edinburgh. Our accommodation comprises 41 Cottages with a mix of single and double occupancy properties.

ACFSOS is led by an experienced Board that has overall responsibility for its governance and strategic direction. Our board members come from a variety of backgrounds and have different areas of expertise. If you have a background, skills or experience in any of the following areas, we would love to hear from you:

Housing Management (Social Housing or Private Sector)

Health and Social Care/ Welfare

You will be required to attend four board meetings per year, held in Edinburgh. Attendance can be in person or online.

Colinton Cottage Homes is a small retirement housing development situated in the Colinton area of Edinburgh. It has existed for over 100 years and provides accommodation within 41 rented homes set in beautiful grounds, within the heart of the Colinton community.

We are now recruiting to replace our longstanding Manager, who is to retire later this year. We require an experienced, highly professional individual to lead our service. Candidates must have a strong understanding of the welfare needs of older people and experience of managing all aspects of rented housing.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail and strong leadership skills and empathy. You should be willing to challenge yourself to deliver better services for our tenants.
