The Role
SSF Youth Development Coordinators are responsible for the ongoing coordination of service delivery in either a designated geographic location or for a specific programme or project. They will act as a critical conduit between strategy and delivery and be responsible for the recruitment and retention of sessional delivery staff and volunteers.

The Role

SSF Sessional Workers have the specific responsibility of delivering SSF’s delivery programmes across our four key local authorities: Fife, Glasgow, North Ayrshire and Stirling. The core function of this role will be delivering the SSF Chance:2:Be programme in North Ayrshire.
SSF Chance:2:Be is a referral-based, intensive personal development programme, for young people who are disengaging from traditional education, offering safe environments to explore personal development, set goals, and complete accessible training and accreditation. The programme uses a combination of sport and physical activity and youth work to support the young people towards a positive destination.

The Role
Education Through CashBack (ETC) is an SSF training programme, combining youth work and sport to enhance knowledge of the ‘Sport for Change’ approach. ETC modules have been developed in collaboration with several expert partner agencies and are delivered throughout Scotland. The programme provides accessible accreditation for young people, as well as upskilling practitioners to work with young people at risk.
Working closely with the SSF Education and Training team, you will play a critical role educating young people and practitioners across the sport and physical activity sector. Our training is designed to support individuals and organisations to take a person centred-approach and embed it within their practice.
The SSF Education and Training Tutor is responsible for delivering high quality training and accreditation that contribute to our strategic goals of Developing People, Improving Health and Wellbeing, and Strengthening Communities.

To give young people the support they require, we are doing much more targeted work with vulnerable young people who have experienced and continue to experience trauma within their lives. This married up with the impact of COVID-19 has resulted in a significant increase in the volume of Children Protection and Wellbeing concerns at SSF.
The Role
The Child Protection and Safeguarding Manager role is a new one for SSF and they will be responsible for achieving SSF’s strategic goals of, Developing People, Improving Health and Wellbeing and Strengthening Communities, acting as a source of advice about safeguarding and protecting children and young people.
The Manager will lead on the delivery of child protection and wellbeing training, the promotion and implementation of excellent and safe practice and coordinate and lead on concerns and referrals.
The Child Protection and Safeguarding Manager will have the responsibility for developing and establishing partnerships to support with child protection and wellbeing concerns to ensure young people and families are fully supported.
Key relationships will be with SSF staff, SAMH, Children 1st, sportscotland, governing bodies, local authority staff, schools, health, and community partners.
The Manager will be the main point of contact with agencies in relation to child wellbeing and protection and the protection of vulnerable groups including Disclosure Services, Disclosure Scotland, Social Workers and Children 1st.

Regional Managers are responsible for overseeing a team of coordinators and delivery staff including volunteers, to deliver multiple SSF programmes designed to change lives of young people and achieve SSF’s strategic goals of Developing People, Improving Health and Wellbeing, and Strengthening Communities.
Managers have responsibility for developing local relationships, ensuring teams have representation on local groups, work with referral agencies and local authority partners to embed SSF programmes into local plans and ensure pathways into and out of SSF provision for young people. Managers have responsibility for regional budgets which will be complex and have multi-funders. They also have targets for generating enterprise and commissioned pieces of work. Managers provide regular monitoring and evaluation of projects for funder reports, to the Head of People and Programmes, external partners and will in turn disseminate learning to their teams.
Key relationships will be with sportscotland staff, governing bodies, local authority staff, schools, health, and community partners as well as SSF Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and managers.

The Executive Assistant is a new role for SSF, and will provide expert level administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT). The successful candidate will have responsibility for:
· Proactively managing the administrative requirements of the SLT
· Providing administrative support to key areas of the business, including finance and HR

SSF Coordinators are responsible for the ongoing coordination of service delivery in either a designated geographic location or for a specific programme or project. SSF coordinators have responsibility for achieving strategic goals of Developing People, Improving Health and Wellbeing and Strengthening Communities.
There will also be requirement to work as a team, across programmes and work across geographic locations and programmes as specified by line manager.

This role has a national remit and will involve regular travel across Scotland as well as regular evening and weekend work.
The Youth Development Coordinator will have a focus on Mental Health and Wellbeing and will work in close partnership with SSF strategic partners Scottish Association of Mental Health (SAMH).

Responding to the immediate challenges of the current pandemic has meant that SSF has had to adapt and adjust how we work. Moving forward, more emphasis will be placed on the areas of marketing, enterprise development, and alignment of these business priorities. This new enterprise development role will be focused on building relationships digitally and face-to-face to grow our customer base.
The role
The Enterprise Development Manager will have responsibility for leading the development and implementation of new trading activities for the organisation. The successful candidate will play a key role in the diversification of funding streams across the organisation, leading and supporting the successful development of trading enterprise for the charity. This is a front facing role and you will be required to develop and nurture strategic partnerships and work closely with partners to generate unrestricted income.
This work will involve close collaboration with the public, private, and third sectors. We are looking for someone with an understanding and experience of working across sectors, establishing relationships, and taking an innovative approach to income generation.
You will work with staff, board members, volunteers, and partners to create a viable, vibrant, and valued enterprise development strategy that serves our purpose.
This role will support and promote SSF’s strategic goals of Developing People, Improving Health and Wellbeing, and Strengthening Communities.
Main duties:
· Increase trading income – taking existing products to new markets and working with the Senior Team to develop new products for existing markets
· Lead on developing relationships, this is a key front facing role
· Identify and follow up key prospects to buy SSF products
· Establish and cultivate potential partnerships: third sector, public, corporate and sponsorship opportunities
· Relationship management utilising CRM system

The Education Through CashBack (ETC) is an SSF training programme, combining youth work and sport to enhance knowledge of the ‘Sport for Change’ approach. ETC is a delivered throughout Scotland, providing accessible accreditation for young people, as well as upskilling practitioners to work with young people at risk.
The Training and Accreditation Coordinator will have overall responsibility for the coordination of the ETC programme. They will be responsible for establishing and maintaining key relationships with partners, and for the ongoing development and evaluation of the ETC programme.
The Training and Accreditation Coordinator will have line management responsibility for Training and Accreditation Administrator(s) and our Education Through CashBack Tutors.

Working closely with the Training and Accreditation team, they will play a critical role educating young people and practitioners across the sport and physical activity sector.
ETC Tutors are responsible for delivering high quality training and accreditation that contribute to our strategic goals of Developing People, Improving Health and Wellbeing, and Strengthening Communities.
The Education Through CashBack (ETC) is an SSF training programme, combining youth work and sport to enhance knowledge of the ‘Sport for Change’ approach. ETC is a delivered throughout Scotland, providing accessible accreditation for young people, as well as upskilling practitioners to work with young people at risk.
The ETC Tutor will be responsible for the design and delivery of ETC courses for young people and practitioners. They will work in collaboration with key partners, including sportscotland, SAMH, and Scottish governing bodies for sport, to implement the ETC programme. They will also support us to grow our social enterprise model by identifying new relationships and securing bookings. Tutors are the face of our ETC programme and will work directly with clients from bookings through to delivery. They will also have some responsibility for monitoring and evaluation to continue to achieve high standards.
This post will have a national remit and will involve regular travel across Scotland, as well as evening and weekend work. The tutor will deliver a blend of online and face-to-face training.
