You will be helping disabled people feel unstoppable. As Family Support Team Lead in the North of Scotland you will be delivering vital support to families affected by spina bifida and hydrocephalus.
You will be the person who will empower them to reach their potential, offering one to one support and coordinating chances for people to get together, make friends and build their support network.
You will be the person that raises awareness of spina bifida and hydrocephalus within the community and with service providers to ensure that no one affected by our conditions feels alone.

The Role
You’ll be helping disabled people feel unstoppable. As Senior Trusts and Grants Fundraiser you’ll be right at the heart of our team’s efforts to make sure no one affected by spina bifida or hydrocephalus feels alone.
Every year we need generate over £250,000 in income from Trusts and grant giving bodies to make sure our families get the help they need. Your role will be to generate income from a range of trusts, corporate foundations, and public bodies.

Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland is a national, award-winning, innovative and highly respected third sector organisation, providing family support and clinical, innovation and research projects for all individuals in Scotland, of any age, who are affected by spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus.

The Role
As the Chief Executive you will be a strategic thinker, who can bring a skillset of effective communicator, relationship builder, influencer and strategic planner to lead the organisation, with the ability to engage and influence partners within the wider health and social care system in Scotland to meet the needs of our citizens.
You will be accountable to the Board of Directors and report directly to the Chair. The postholder will be supported by a highly experienced Senior Management Team to deliver a high performing service that is efficient and accessible to all.

SBH Scotland is looking for experienced, reliable Sessional Support Workers to assist our children, young people, adults and families in a variety of settings. Reporting to the West Team Leads, our Sessional Support Workers will be helping to run engaging activities or social/support groups.
As a Sessional Support Worker you will be required to work out with normal office hours depending on the activity or event. The postholder(s) will be required to attend groups in the West of Scotland. Currently the majority of groups, which include coffee catch ups, pre-school groups and youth groups through to family support groups, take place in our family support centre, The Dan Young Building in Dullatur, North Lanarkshire. However other outings do take place during the year across Greater Glasgow & Clyde, Ayrshire and Arran, Western Isles, Dumfries and Galloway, Lanarkshire, Forth Valley areas.

We are now growing our fundraising team and are seeking a proactive individual to work on, and develop, existing and new projects/income streams of all sizes. Examples could include developing imaginative community fundraising activities, working with schools or inspiring new supporters to raise money. And, you’ll be organising can/bucket collections, supervising and recruiting volunteers as well as developing and broadening corporate support.
This is an exciting role with much scope; giving you the room to grow in your fundraising career. As such you’ll be comfortable working closely with our small but brilliant team, networking with our charity stakeholders or working independently as required.
Previous fundraising experience in the voluntary sector preferred although not essential. This role may suit someone who can transfer their skills to this role. From creating resources and organising events through to attending transition clinics and providing practical and emotional support, you’ll be part of a team supporting young people transition smoothly into adulthood.

SBH Scotland is looking for a Part Time Early Years Support Worker to provide proactive support and focused intervention to children and families in the early years to empower and support them to be all they can be.
Reporting to the Support Leads in the West, this varied role offers the opportunity to support individuals in a variety of ways including: Facilitating and encouraging play, learning and social development of all children (0-8 years) within the service; enabling parents/carers to take an active role in their child’s development and learning; organising groups and activities; promoting learning through play; 1-2-1 support; contributing to our Helpline support and sourcing resources or information.
Educated to SVQ3/4 level or equivalent level of relevant knowledge/experience, the post will be ideally suited to a person with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop constructive working relationships with a wide range of service users, carers and partner agencies.
The ideal candidate will also be proactive, resourceful and willing to contribute to the team in the interests of overall service aims.
