Street League is one of Scotland’s leading youth employability providers, engaging 16-30 year olds who are unemployed, we operate our services across 25 communities in Scotland, all of which fall into the top 15% of the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation. Our operational footprint includes 16 Scottish Local Authorities and we also have services in another 8 cities in the wider UK. In the financial year 16/17, we progressed 1086 young unemployed Scots into work, education or further training. As a charity, we are dedicated to alleviating the poverty faced by Scotland’s young people by supporting them to enter employment or to advance into better jobs and learning opportunities. We are an SQA accredited centre and combine sport and employability with accredited learning to enhance the quality of provision and differentiate our service offer that young people receive. This is underpinned by our values as we believe in an equality of health, wealth and learning. Our service delivery operates at Stages 1, 2, 3 & 4 of the Strategic Skills Pipeline. We deliver on SDS Employability Fund, National and Local ESF programmes, Scottish Governments Fair Start and have grant and corporate funded services across Scotland. Role: You will be responsible for the delivery of Street League’s programmes, in which you will deliver a range of engagement activities to a group of Street League participants focused on sport, fitness, personal development and wellbeing. The Youth and Community Coach will also work in partnership with our devoted Progressions Coordinators to deliver and administer Street League’s core programmes. The post involves outreach work, and you will be responsible for recruiting participants and sustaining them on Street League’s programmes to ensure delivery targets are met.

You will maintain partnerships with referral agencies and develop further partnerships with stakeholders to ensure suitable future opportunities for our participants. Monitoring and reporting are essential to this role.

Here at Street League, we are currently on the hunt to find a well-rounded Progressions Coordinator to join our East Renfrewshire team. The Progressions Coordinator will work in partnership with one our devoted Youth and Community Coaches to deliver and administer Street League’s core programmes in Renfrewshire and Inverclyde but mainly in our East Renfrewshire area.

As a Progressions Coordinator you will be responsible for securing employment, education and training opportunities for Street League participants and supporting them to progress. You will establish and maintain partnerships with referral agencies and develop further partnerships with employers or colleges to secure suitable opportunities for our participants. Salary: We appreciate the financial difficulties that many individuals across the UK are currently facing and therefore offer a generous salary range of £23,000-£28,000 for this role. If you are successful in becoming a member of team Street League your salary will begin at the minimum end of the pay scale, with ample opportunity to progress!

Benefits: Generous Annual Leave entitlement of 37 days per year (inclusive of Public Holidays), plus one additional day’s leave awarded for every year with the company up to a maximum of 3 years).

Enhanced sick pay of 8 weeks for all staff, alongside pay for maternity/paternity leave.

Pension Scheme – Here at Street League, we believe it is never too early to start thinking about your future and with our company pension scheme we help our staff do just that. We ensure that all eligible employees are automatically enrolled in Street League’s Group Stakeholder Pension Plan operated by Scottish Widows within three months of their start date. We contribute 4% of gross basic salary with employees additionally required to make a gross contribution of 4%. Employees can opt out at any time.

Critical Illness Cover – Although we hope that none of our amazing employees would ever have to use it, we are conscious that life can throw some real curve balls along the way. We therefore offer our employees Critical Illness cover that provides them with a tax-free lump sum payment if they or their children suffer a critical illness covered by our provider.

Work pattern: Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm (36.25 hours per week). Due to the nature of this role flexible working arrangements cannot be considered at this time but are certainly something we aim to explore in the future.

Contract: Fixed-term contract for a period of 12 months.

Senior Marketing & Communications Coordinator

We are currently looking to recruit for a Senior Marketing and Communications Coordinator to deliver and coordinate Street League’s internal and external communications, prioritising digital channels, including its website. You will be communications lead throughout the organisation and oversee a team of Marketing Executives to ensure all aspects of our Marketing Strategy, our branding and vision are consistent in all communications.

The Senior Marketing and Communications Coordinator will work closely with the Head of Scottish Operations and other teams, to plan and execute a strong and compelling content strategy which showcases Street League as one of the UK’s most innovative, exciting and impactful charities. The key objectives of this role are to increase the online traffic to our website and social media sites, increasing stakeholder engagement and individual giving opportunities.

Engagement & Aftercare Coordinator

We are currently looking to recruit for an Engagement and Aftercare Coordinator in the London area. The Engagement and Aftercare Coordinator will provide a wrap-around service for young people engaged with Street League, by first engaging participants for entry on to the Street League programmes.

This will see the post-holder being an effective account manager, liaising with a range of referral partners and providing excellent customer service. Following the participant’s completion of the programme and entry into employment, education or training, the post-holder will support and monitor a caseload of young people for up to 12 months, as well as offering support to their employers/colleges to ensure that they achieve a sustained outcome.
