Angus Independent Advocacy is a registered charity which operates as a human rights-based organisation in supporting people to have their voices heard and be central to decisions affecting their lives. Our advocacy resource is both free and confidential, and independent of social work, NHS and other agencies. We work with people all across Angus via two main work streams:
Our longstanding CEO will soon leave us, and thus we can offer the right person this rare opportunity to lead our organisation in the years ahead, and to further develop the successful delivery of our core purpose. We will want you to be a passionate, forward thinking, knowledgeable, skilled professional who will lead our dedicated staff team, and also someone who will actively embrace our values. This is an exciting time to join us and you will immediately be involved in our strategic planning cycle.
An excellent, confident communicator and negotiator, you will be able to create successful grant funding bids. The ability to maintain and advance productive relationships with key people from within all relevant statutory and government agencies will also be crucial to us. In line with our values we are looking for you to demonstrate an inclusive, kind, and thoughtful style of leadership.
The ability to attend occasional meetings and events out with office hours will be required.
In return we offer an attractive benefit package, including a generous contributory pension scheme. Ours is a supportive working environment and we promote a culture that embraces equality, diversity, and inclusion. We value having a diverse workforce reflective of our communities.
