We have created new positions so that we can better serve our membership and continue our work to influence policy and practice. We are looking for an experienced leader to join us as Head of Programmes and Development. This is a new senior leadership position, focused on strong leadership and collaboration to enable the organisation to deliver, innovate and serve its membership to achieve the vision of disabled people being fully included throughout all Scottish society as equal citizens.

The Head of Programmes and Development will take a lead role in developing Inclusion Scotland’s social enterprise. They will identify business development opportunities which improve experiences for disabled people across Scotland, and lead on implementing agreed income generation activities.

They will lead on ensuring high quality programmes are delivered and continuously improved and will identify opportunities for new projects which aim to increase the inclusion of disabled people.

They will contribute to the development of organisational strategies and those involving programmes and business development and lead their team to deliver those strategies.

We are looking for new Board Members who are willing to bring energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to the role, and who will broaden the diversity of thinking on our board.

We are a leading learning disability charity based in Glasgow that specialises in providing support and care services for children, young adults and adults who have learning disabilities, autistic spectrum disorders and mental health issues.

The Opportunity

Our Board has overall responsibility for the strategic direction and governance of Cosgrove Care. We are looking to deepen and extend our Board's skills, knowledge, and experience through the appointment of three more members.

We welcome applications from those with either relevant professional or lived experience within the Health and Social Care environment. Previous board management experience is not necessary and whilst this is a voluntary position, out-of-pocket expenses are reimbursed.

In terms of time commitment, there will be a requirement to attend four to five board meetings per year and these meetings are usually 2-3 hours long. In addition, you would be expected to participate in one of our subcommittees. Typically, these subcommittees willmeet an additional four times per year for 1.5 hours each time.

Carer Adviser and Facilitator (BAME Carers and Self- Directed Support Focus)

The Action Group seeks a highly organised, skilled and empathic person to join its dynamic carer advice team. We particularly welcome applications from people with experience of

living or working within a Black, Asian or Ethnic Minority Community and people who speak

another language in addition to English.

Requirements

This opportunity is a result of an exciting new partnership between The Action Group and Lothian Centre for Inclusive Living. The project aims to ensure that Black Asian and Minority Ethnic carers can access Self Directed Support.

The postholder will co-facilitate regular peer-support groups and carry out 1-1 casework with carers (within Edinburgh and the Lothians). The post holder will assist carers to be active collaborators and decision-makers, providing both 1-1 support and group development activities.

Successful applicants will:

• Demonstrate a strong ability to provide casework and carer-led support, to help carers improve their situations.
• Be digitally confident
• Show a good understanding of equality and diversity issues and a commitment to support people from marginalised groups.
• Have a good understanding of the social care landscape
• Have good facilitation skills
