Due to internal movement, Development Trusts Association Scotland is looking for a Development Officer to support our members in receipt of Strengthening Communities Programme grant funding. Working with a Strengthening Communities Programme Development Officer already in post, as well as the member support team, this role will help groups to become more resilient and sustainable community anchor organisations.

This post will involve hybrid working from home and office, with travel throughout the country, with particular focus on the east of Scotland.

Performance and Impact Advisor, Changing Places Toilets Scotland Fund

The Changing Places Toilets Scotland Fund team at Inspiring Scotland are looking for a Performance and Impact Advisor to join their team. The Performance and Impact Advisor (PIA) will deliver several functions to support funded organisations, the Fund Manager and Inspiring Scotland. They are a consistent, available point of contact for funded groups and deliver high-quality transactional tasks to enable effective delivery of the Scottish Government fund management contract and ensuring appropriate understanding of and control over programme spend.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, experienced in project management, and confident monitoring cash flow. As this is a new fund, the candidate will also have the opportunity, with the support of the Fund Manager, to shape and influence fund-specific processes and ensure Inspiring Scotland meets and exceeds its contractual commitments.

Location:Office-based, with expectations of some travel to the office and across Scotland for external meetings and events.

Contracted hours:35 hour per week. Fixed term to 31 March 2027.

About Changing Places Toilets Scotland Fund

The Changing Places Toilets Scotland Fund (CPTSF) aims to increase the availability of Changing Places Toilets across Scotland, addressing critical gaps in accessible infrastructure for people with some disabilities. With an increase in the number of Changing Places Toilets in Scotland, more disabled people will have access to their basic human right to take part in activities in their communities in safety, dignity, and confidence.

As part of its commitment to extending the provision of these facilities across Scotland’s communities the Scottish Government has set a budget of £10 million in the financial years 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 to support this. This Fund is for the installation of up to 150 new Changing Places Toilets across Scotland. Inspiring Scotland is acting as the fund manager for this programme.

This is an exciting opportunity for an Advice Worker to join our ‘Advice In Schools’ team. The project provides a high-quality advice service to parents in Edinburgh who are impacted by low income and the effects of living in poverty. Working in partnership with all stakeholders including parents, schools and other statutory and third sector agencies, the project takes a whole family and trauma-informed approach to helping parents who may face multiple barriers to moving out of poverty. The Advice Worker will help families by maximising income, providing support to claim benefits as well as offering housing and debt advice. Continuous training is provided and the adviser is expected to contribute to the continued development of this successful service.

The Advisor will be part of our wider CHAI ‘Advice For Families’ Team and will benefit from our comprehensive training programme, peer expertise, team support and ethos of continuous learning and development which is at the heart of our service delivery.

We are seeking a maternity cover General Manager to join our team from October 2025 – December 2026. This is a fixed-term position, with potential for extension, subject to funding.

This role leads on the fundraising for the charity, and combines project and staff management. We currently employ 8 part-time staff, alongside sessional workers, and are supported by a large team of volunteers. You will work closely with our Finance Manager, and report regularly to our Board’s Finance and Staffing subcommittees.
