Action Porty is a community charity, based in Portobello, which owns and runs Bellfield as a community hub. Action Porty is also involved in organising and delivering a range of external events and activities, and is committed to further developing this broader role within the Portobello community.

Volunteers play a significant role within Action Porty, and through a grant from the Volunteer Support Fund, we looking to recruit a part-time Volunteer Co-ordinator. The remit of the post will be to build on the work of the previous post-holder, by further expanding the range of volunteering opportunities (with an emphasis on under-represented groups) and continuing to develop the volunteer framework within Action Porty.

Action Porty is therefore seeking a suitably experienced person who has the necessary skills to develop the volunteer offering within Action Porty, and enhance the experience of volunteers. As a small organisation, we require someone who is a good team player with strong organisational, communications and relationship-building skills.

The post is funded until 31 March, 2024 in the first instance.
