Role

We are seeking a Peer Independent Advocacy Worker with Lived Experience of addiction recovery (your own or someone close to you) to provide independent advocacy throughout Perth and Kinross.

The post holder must have experience of, or interest in, supporting and advocating for others. It is essential they are committed to: a rights based approach for people affected by substance use; Human Rights; Social Justice and the Principles, Standards & Code of Best Practice for Independent Advocacy.

The successful candidate must be able to work as an individual as well as part of a team, with excellent communication and IT skills. The post is considered regulated work so is subject to membership of the PVG scheme.

Use of a car is essential as this post covers the whole of Perth & Kinross.
