We are looking for a Project Coordinator to develop the support of Survivors Unite through the establishment of our new Safe Oaks Project. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in innovative service development in a rural area to address unmet needs for support.
Survivors Unite seeks to facilitate the recovery of adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse in the Scottish Borders. We offer 1:1 peer support; counselling / therapy; and group based peer support. We have recently secured funding from the Scottish Government, the Robertson Trust, the National Lottery Community Fund and Foundation Scotland to enable us to develop the Safe Oaks Project and we are seeking to fill a number of new posts.
The successful candidate with have a sound understanding of the impact of childhood sexual abuse and trauma on adult survivors and be experienced in working with service users to address support needs. The post requires a professional qualification in social work, counselling, clinical psychology or related discipline and membership of Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
