Our support workers in the Children and Adults in Transition Services (CAATS) provide individual and group support for children and young adults and their families/carers.
Do you want to make a real difference to people in your community?
Our team CAATS teams in Edinburgh and Midlothian works with younger adults, supporting them as they take steps towards greater independence. We are looking for support workers who share the Action Group’s values and who are great communicators. The ideal candidate would be patient and practical, and also have a sense of fun. You need to be energetic, creative and have great attention to detail.
We are looking for people to provide support to children on a regular basis providing support to them in their local community to take part in their local activities: swimming, going to the park, day trips, cinema and meeting up with other children. This support provides families much needed respite. We require individuals with the energy and drive required to support children with different needs.
In addition, we are looking for support workers to work at our weekend groups that we run on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. This gives children the opportunity to take part in activities on a 1:1 basis or shared but taking part in activities with their peer group.
No experience or formal qualifications are necessary as paid training is provided, but some experience of providing care or support would be an advantage.
