You will be skilled in working with children and young people to manage the challenges that are presented to them in their daily lives whether at school, in their house or in the community. You will be enthusiastic, warm, playful, accepting, curious and empathetic and be able to bring these qualities to your work with the children and young people. Our approach is to work in a nurturing, therapeutic way, enabling the children and young people to feel safe and loved. We are looking for individuals who will help us to achieve our vision, which is to:

  • Be the best place in Scotland for staff to have a fulfilling work experience and to achieve their individual and collective potential.

Our children and young people tell us that they would like applicants who:

“Enjoys going on outdoor adventures”

We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic, energetic and committed individuals who share our ambition that residential child care should be the first best option for children who need to be looked after away from home. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a culture based on respect, integrity, innovation and the ability to challenge. Through a wide variety of learning and development opportunities we support our staff to be as effective as they can be, equipping them to employ best practice in their work and to be exceptional role models for the children and for staff.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills and experience, taking their first step on the ladder towards a management role.
