We are the lead agency providing social support for people affected by Cystic Fibrosis throughout Scotland. We provide a diverse range of outreach services that include advocacy, practical support, befriending for young people, mentoring for young adults and Massage Therapy for adults while in hospital.

The Children & Families Coordinator will manage a volunteer network throughout Scotland who provide face to face support and befriending for carers and children affected by Cystic Fibrosis. This will include facilitating befriending for the young people and support with issues such as benefit applications, housing and sourcing financial support for the carer to create a suitable home environment for the young people.

Desirable experience

  • Previous experience of befriending or mentoring
  • Previous experience of people management
  • Previous experience of facilitating training
  • Previous experience of working with people
  • Previous experience of working in an office based environment

  • Good interpersonal, written and communication skills
  • Good organisational skills

  • Sensitivity
  • A supportive attitude toward living with chronic illness

Full driving licence and use of a smoke free car is essential.
