Role

MELD is a community based substance misuse agency serving Midlothian and East Lothian.

MELD is recruiting 2 x East Lothian GP Outreach Peer Support Workers in East Lothian. The successful candidates will have a lived experience of substance issues (drugs or alcohol) and be at least 1 year free from problematic substance misuse. The successful candidates will join a team offering both one to one, groupwork and motivational support to those affected by substance misuse issues at various locations across East Lothian. The MELD Peer Support Workers will also have an understanding of substance misuse and related services, the ability to work in a flexible manner and adhere to a recovery and harm reduction approach.

These positions will require certain qualification and experiences.
