At CrossReach we’ve been providing a wide range of counselling services for over 30 years. Driven to provide cutting edge support to all people in need, we were the first organisation in Scotland to offer dedicated perinatal counselling and therapy for new parents and families. We offer support to those experiencing anxiety, depression, low self esteem or any other negative feelings experienced before or after having a baby.
As part of a restructure to meet increasing demands for mental wellbeing, this is an exciting opportunity to join our team to support the running of our perinatal service in Edinburgh. As a Senior Counsellor you will be responsible for maintaining and developing therapeutic support and overseeing the day to day management of the service. The role also offers you the chance to combine a clinical caseload with managing our team of volunteer counsellors while also contributing to this pioneering and developing family service.
We’re looking for a qualification at Diploma level in Counselling/Art Therapy and ideally a qualification in Training and Clinical Supervision. Registered with a professional body such as COSCA, BACP or BAAT, with significant post qualifying practice hours, you will also need to be a strong self-motivator able to work to a broad remit where priorities can change on a daily basis.
As part of our CrossReach Counselling Services, you’ll enjoy a supportive team environment and a breadth of development opportunities. We also offer an excellent benefits package including an employer contributory pension and a generous holiday allowance.
What’s more, you will be part of one of Scotland’s largest voluntary social work organisations. At CrossReach, we offer quality care and counselling to a wide range of people in need. But the real story of CrossReach is the work that our staff do: reaching out and making a real difference to the lives of others. If you’d like to join them, we look forward to hearing from you.
