Positive Paths is a post school, day service for individuals with disabilities.

Our aim is to provide opportunities for ongoing education and to develop work experience & volunteering roles. Individuals set their own goals while following our skills based program that offers diverse and active ways to learn and live. All our day services are undertaken in the group setting encouraging peer learning and interaction along with positive social experiences. We have two 'learning' bases within Edinburgh where staff and members meet to access our day provisions.

As part of the advertised role you may be asked to participate in our Social and Short Break Services. Our Social program & activities are informal and innovative way to allow parents and carers respite while members to meet socially in the evenings and weekends and choose activities.

Short Breaks provide parents and members respite in the form of weekends away and small holidays in the UK and abroad.

Applicants will be encouraged to help develop our services and take with you your own interests and skills into your role.


  • SVQ 3 Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Positive and motivated outlook.
  • Ability to use initiative and problem solve.
  • 3 years experience within the Additional Support Needs (ASN) /Disability field.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and IT Skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
