Role

Simon Community Scotland is the largest provider of homelessness services in Scotland,with a reputation for excellence. Everything we do is about and for people: the people we support, our staff, our partners and everyone affected by homelessness.

The Street Team Relief worker will provide positive practical and emotional support to people who are rough sleeping in Glasgow or at risk of rough sleeping. Working in pairs, they will engage with Rough Sleepers and Vulnerable People and support them to present for accommodation, engage with health and addiction services as well as other homeless

services.

This role requires a degree of physical fitness as street staff actively outreach on foot across the city centre and surrounding areas. Essential protective clothing and footwear will be provided and must be used.

Key tasks:

1. To help provide person-centered support to people who use the service.

2. To help maintain accurate records and case notes.

3. To ensure that services comply with standards set by SCS and meet the contractual

and/or regulatory requirements of relevant external agencies.

4. To contribute as an effective team member to the development of the activities of the

service.
