Role

Are you passionate about the voluntary sector? Do you believe that by working collectively as a city we can tackle some of the issues contributing to poverty and inequality? Enthusiastic, tenacious, a great communicator, you must enjoy dealing with sector leaders and people with passion. Are you up for a challenge? If you like the sound of the above, then Edinburgh Voluntary Organisations’ Council (EVOC) is looking to recruit a part-time Development Worker (Walking & Active Travel).

This interesting new programme has two related aims: firstly, to support an Edinburgh-wide “Health Walk Coordinator” post to strategically join-up and further develop a local network of Health Walks, delivered by a diverse range of voluntary and community organisations. Secondly, the work will deliver in-depth research to inform the trialling of ideas and incentives to change travel behaviour toward active travel options and bring people from across Edinburgh’s voluntary sector together to share findings.
