Stop It Now! Scotland is part of the Lucy Faithfull Foundation, a national charity whose mission is to combat child sexual abuse and exploitation.
We are looking for a creative and dynamic professional to join our growing multi-disciplinary team and lead practice and innovation in our work in Scotland. The team leader / clinical lead will co-ordinate programme delivery to adults involved with online sexual offending and to family members and loved ones of those who offend. They will maintain a caseload undertaking direct work with individuals worried about sexual thoughts and feelings towards children. They will undertake risk assessments, prepare reports and provide consultation and training to professionals and the public. They will supervise practitioners in our team and contribute to evaluation, research, practice and policy development in relation to the prevention of child sexual abuse, both within our team and across the Lucy Faithfull Foundation more widely.
This post would be particularly suitable for professionals with a background in forensic psychology or social work / probation practice with considerable experience in work with adults who have committed sexual offences and / or child protection experience. Applicants must have a recognised professional qualification plus a comprehensive knowledge of child sexual abuse and how it can be prevented. They will need excellent skills in inter-agency work, relevant assessment and therapeutic intervention approaches and are able to work in a trauma informed way. Experience in working with adolescents would be an advantage but not essential.
