In response to the government’s new agenda for ending homelessness and the Fife Rapid Rehousing Transition Plan, we are now seeking to recruit individuals wishing to participate in furthering our work in homelessness prevention and trauma informed housing support practice. As an Assistant Short-term Housing Support Worker the postholder will provide STHS to clients identified as requiring low level support and assist support workers as part of a case management approach to service delivery. The post holder is expected to facilitate and assist individuals using a strength based approach therefore, it is essential for the postholder to understand each individual’s unique position, the skills they have and the opportunities they choose to achieve their goals.

Please note all the above posts benefit from an additional 1.5% salary increase, effective as at 1st April 2019

All the above posts are offered initially as Fixed Term Temporary contracts which may be extended in line with future funding secured.

Successful candidates taking up a client facing role are subject to PVG Disclosure checks and must have a current driving license, business insurance and the use of a car for work. Successful candidates securing a post regulated by the Care Inspectorate must register with the SSSC and must meet the required standards for the post within the permitted time as directed by the SSSC.
