We are looking for candidates who have experience of leading multicultural teams to provide an excellent level of service to Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) women affected by domestic abuse and Honour Based Violence (HBV). You must have experience of working with vulnerable people from diverse backgrounds as well as an excellent understanding of the effects and issues facing BAME women affected by domestic abuse and HBV. You will need to be an effective communicator in English and one additional BAME language, highly organised and have effective team management skills.
You will be qualified to Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling/Psychotherapy with 2 years’ post-qualifying experience, and have a good knowledge of trauma counselling, health inequalities and assessing risk for domestic abuse and HBV. You will work closely with other partners and agencies and be expected to ensure the continued development of good partnership working.
Membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme is a requirement this post, and the successful candidate must also have their own indemnity insurance.
