Parenting Worker

Role

Dean and Cauvin Young People’s Trust have been supporting vulnerable children and young people since 1733. We currently support children and young people in residential care and in the community.

We are seeking to recruit a compassionate professional to support care experienced parents and their young children. The purpose of the post is to support parents to develop positive relationships with their children, whilst keeping them safe in a loving nurturing environment. A relevant professional qualification, or equivalent relevant experience is required. Experience of working with vulnerable children and young people is essential, ideally in a community setting. A sound knowledge of safeguarding and child development is essential, as is experience of working with partners. Experience of parenting work would be advantageous. Excellent report writing and communication skills are essential.

This post is externally funded. A significant training budget and a bespoke training programme will be provided to the successful candidate.
