Addaction is working in partnership with Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH) to set up a new and innovative Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Service in North Lanarkshire.
We will be collaborating with North Lanarkshire Addiction Recovery Team to support people in treatment and recovery to find and sustain employment. IPS is an internationally recognised, supported employment model that adopts a place then train approach and a principle of zero exclusion.
As an IPS Employment Specialist you will provide employability support. You must have experience of joined up partnership working and a good understanding of best practice in substance use services and/or in the provision of employability and employment services.
We are looking for initiative, creativity, energy and determination and the ability to motivate, develop and inspire individuals. Commitment and belief in the potential for people in treatment and recovery to secure employment is essential.
You will be a self-starter, thrive in a multi-agency setting and have an appetite to promote this innovative approach.
Whilst knowledge of IPS would be an advantage, full IPS training will be provided
