If you are a Group Worker looking to develop your practice and skill level then this might be the role for you!
As one of the largest providers of school-based counselling services in Scotland, The Spark is committed to ensuring all children and young people (CYP) have access to appropriate, professional support to cope with challenging life experiences.
Due to the development and expansion of our Children and Young People services, we currently have multiple opportunities, with immediate start dates available, and are seeking engaging, effective communicators with great organisational skills who want to deliver exciting programmes that support social, emotional and mental wellbeing in children and young people.
As a member of The Spark’s team, you may have the opportunity to develop your practice by coupling your previous experience with our range of professional SQA and COSCA accredited training courses. These include COSCA Skills and a Diploma in Relational Counselling, subject to individual acceptance on each course. CPD is also available in clinical approaches coupled with clinical supervision which is provided in house, free of charge, on a monthly basis.
Working on a sessional basis, CYP Group Workers are required for between three and five days per week up to the end of June 2020 with the possibility of extension into the 20/21 academic session.
To be considered you will need to hold:
• Qualification in youth work, community education, community development, social work or related discipline
• Driving licence and have access to own vehicle
