Due to a recent retirement, we are looking to recruit a Women’s Support Worker who will be committed to our aims and values and who will bring extensive experience of providing a crisis support service to women affected by domestic abuse.
The main role of the post holder will be to offer 1-1 support to women affected by domestic abuse by phone, text, email and by appointment. In addition, there will be a requirement to carry out risk assessments, provide safety planning and work in partnership with other services and professionals as appropriate.
Applicants are required to have the appropriate skills, experience and qualifications that are relevant to the duties outlined in the job description and person specification.
Candidates should have an understanding of the feminist analysis of domestic abuse and be willing to work within the group’s collective, non-hierarchical structure.
