Role

We have an opening with the Living Lighter Project at the Salisbury Centre.

We are striving towards a diverse and inclusive work environment, therefore we gladly welcome applications from all races, gender identities, ethnic minorities, ages, classes and sexual orientations. While the Centre is not currently physically accessible, we welcome differently abled applicants.

The Salisbury Centre is open to all who want to develop their spiritual, psychological and creative life. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced volunteer and outreach worker to join our team on the Living Lighter project, currently in progress at the centre thanks to funding from the Scottish Government’s Climate Challenge Fund. The project is providing opportunities for participants to raise awareness and take action on climate change and carbon reduction.

The person selected will coordinate our volunteer team and events, and conduct outreach work to engage the Salisbury Centre and local communities in a variety of activities including food growing and cooking, upcycling workshops and food waste. The project also facilitates discussion and learning through climate and carbon conversations, mindful consuming workshops, film screenings and other events that aim to increase understanding of climate change and how to live lighter for a more sustainable future.
