Are you passionate about inclusive communities?
We support people with a learning disability or autism to build friendships to live their life well. To make this happen we have a network of volunteers who make an extraordinary difference helping to reduce loneliness and improve social connections.
Our project in Glasgow works exclusively with autistic people. Previous knowledge of autism would be useful but is not essential as you will work closely with our Autism Link Worker. We are looking for a Project Coordinator who is enthusiastic about making a positive contribution and willing to work alongside autistic people to help make communities work better for their individual needs.
There are additional difficulties many autistic people face in becoming socially included. The successful candidate will value small breakthroughs as meaningful triumphs. You will help to transform the lives of autistic people to live more independently, enjoy a better quality of life and play an active role in their community.
· Demonstrate commitment to volunteering and understanding of its potential?
· Nurture engagement and enthusiasm in volunteers?
· Communicate empathetically and connect easily to others?
· Relish the challenge of finding creative solutions?
· Show determination to make a lasting difference to people?
Do you have experience in making projects happen and bringing out the best in volunteers?
Then we want to hear from you!
