We are looking for a highly motivated individual to support families through the assessment process and possible diagnosis of a neurodevelopmental condition. The role will be based within the Neurodevelopmental Service for Children and young people in Newmains Health Centre, Wishaw but you will also be expected to travel within North Lanarkshire and on occasion visit families in their own home.
Working within a multi-disciplinary team you will directly support families and empower them to make informed choices, access supports to improve wellbeing and be a valued member of their community.
You will have excellent people skills and have experience of working with or supporting families who have a child or young person with an additional support need.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new service for a highly skilled individual. You will liaise with clinical colleagues and work with them as an integral part of a multi -disciplinary team, including Psychologists, speech and language therapists and psychiatrists. You will contribute to and support development of the link worker role and ensure a high quality of support within the Neurodevelopmental team and the wider community and voluntary sector.
