Saheliya works to support the mental health and well-being of Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) girls and women aged 12+.
The Open Arms Project is a partnership project providing vulnerable BME women, living in Edinburgh and the Lothians, with a wide range of activities including pathways of support that enable these women to become actively involved in their local community and to integrate more effectively. Saheliya’s role in the Open Arms Project is to develop the Community Learning Hub and Drop In services.
Community Learning Hub Manager is the lead worker with overall responsibility for overseeing the Open Arms partnership work and the Open Arms advisory group and supervising the Learning Hub Co-ordinator in Saheliya.
