Role

Our role in Priority Areas is to support congregations and communities to thrive. We coordinate a whole Church approach to giving priority to the poorest. We work in partnership with Presbyterian Church of USA (PCUSA) Young Adult Volunteer (YAV) programme to place volunteers in Priority Area placements for approximately a year at a time.

The YAV Site Coordinator offers support and supervision to the volunteers and ongoing support for placement supervisors. You will participate in all aspects of the YAV programme from interviewing and selection to identifying suitable housing arrangements and providing in-country orientation for YAVs.

You will be an effective communicator with well-developed facilitation skills. You will have skills and experience in monitoring and evaluation. This is a post for a positive and enthusiastic team player with great interpersonal skills. The post is based in the Glasgow office of the Priority Areas team but there will be frequent travel to Dundee and other areas of Scotland.
