Cyrenians is working in partnership with Falkirk Council to transform Arnotdale House in Dollar Park back into a centrepiece of the community. The newly renovated building will house a café, as well as offer events/meeting/party spaces and office accommodation. Cyrenians will run this as a social enterprise with involvement from members of the local community, including the provision of employability opportunities for people accessing Cyrenians existing services in Falkirk.
The café been open since mid-September 2019 and we are looking to add additional Café Assistants (two part time – 12 or 8 hours per week) to our existing team. This role supports the day to day activities of both the café and function suites ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction.
Ideally you should have experience of working in a café and events environment, including cash handling, food preparation, booking systems and stock control, however if you have experience within a customer service role additional training can be provided to support you in the café/events environment. A flexible approach and excellent communication skills will ensure you help build good relationships to create and maintain a successful café environment that is valued by the local community. You should also have the ability to demonstrate our values of compassion, respect, integrity and innovation in the work that you do.
