Role

The Policy Officer will work as part of a team, assisting with the development and promotion of Congress Policy and STUC relations with Government at all levels; preparing draft submissions to policy consultations; preparing briefings, content for speeches, press releases and other articles promoting STUC policy and supporting political relations.

The post holder will be working primarily from the Glasgow STUC office though there is a requirement for attendance at external meetings and occasional out of hours work.

Candidates must have a commitment to trade union values.
