· Are you interested in the power of music to help people with dementia?
· Are you a skilled and experienced collaborator, who enjoys working in partnership with others to achieve shared ambitions?
· Would you like to be part of making dementia care more person-centred across the UK?
Playlist for Life is the personal music and dementia charity founded in 2013 by writer and broadcaster Sally Magnusson. Thanks to funding from the Community Lottery Fund we have ambitious plans to increase the use of playlists in dementia care and are rolling out a major expansion programme. Partnership with organisations big and small lies at the heart of our strategy.
The Partnerships Manager is an exciting, new opportunity for an initial 2-year period. You will lead on coordinating the development of existing large-scale partnerships (eg Universal Music, Care England, Alzheimer Scotland, Alzheimer’s Society) and identifying new partner organisations with compatible visions and values.
You will liaise with colleagues across Playlist for Life to ensure strong relationship building as part of delivering partnership projects. In particular you will be aiming to increase our collaboration with the NHS and major care organisations and contribute to the effective monitoring & evaluation of programmes that are developed to build the evidence base for Playlist for Life. You will also lead on coordinating new and existing research relationships, with academia and specialist organisations. For these reasons existing networks and/or an understanding of the complex health and social care landscape would be an advantage.
For this role we are open to discussing the possibility of reduced hours, flexible start and finish times, or compressed hours. We are also open to offering the post as a secondment. Please wait until the job offer stage before asking us about flexibility, and we will explore what’s possible for the role.
