Our Midlothian service is looking to recruit an enthusiastic person to join our friendly team, delivering support across Midlothian, working from our base in Dalkeith. This is an exciting time to join our service, as we develop our systemic, therapeutic and peer support approach in enabling families in their recovery from the impact of problematic substance use.

Children 1st offer relational based support, taking a restorative, strengths based and trauma informed approach to enable individuals and families to achieve their goals. We are looking for someone who is knowledgeable and experienced in whole family systems approach, with a sound knowledge of the impact of substance misuse on parenting and children. You will have a lead role within the team in coordinating and undertaking assessment of families and creating outcome focused work plans, which will ensure the safety and wellbeing of children. You will have the opportunity to engage in therapeutic 1:1 support with children and their families as well as co-working with colleagues as required.
